Celtic

My love of Celtic art must stem from my Irish heritage. My family is from Ireland, and my roots run deep.

All the fabric that I offer, I have dyed, discharged, hand painted, block printed, or screen printed. You cannot feel any printing on the fabrics. They are very soft.

Special care is taken in creating Celtic designs so they stay true to original line and ideas as I put my own spin on them.

I have done a wide variety of table linens including, runners, place mats, and napkins.

I now concentrate on purses and totes. Each bag has a Celtic design on the back, in the lining and is embellished with a pewter like metal Celtic button. No two bags are alike.

The Celts were very connected to Nature and The Universe. They believed That birds were Celestial messengers. Snakes are a reminder that you are not locked into existing circumstance. The snake sheds it’s skin every year, therefore showing us there’s the chance to start over. Dogs were protectors of the domain. The intertwined knots are continuous lines telling us that life is a continuous journey. Woven lines are under over / over under and show that The Universe offers equal balance in life and that we create our own balance.
